Having graduated from the University of Michigan and Harvard University with degrees in Slavic Languages and Literatures, Michael Jacobson began a lifelong interest in travel, photography, and understanding foreign cultures. Jacobson served as a Board Member of the PRC and is active in supporting geography education and mission programs through the National Geographic Society. He has also served on the boards of the American Repertory Theater and Snappy Dance Theater.
This print, produced by Singer Editions, shows Llasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China. Jacobson focuses on dynamic diagonals and the scintillating reflections on the pavement play off of the colorful flags above.
