Avanti Nambiar, a photojournalist volunteer for the PRC, made these atmospheric studies of the photographers, poets and audience members at the PRC Slam on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
The 26 participants were widely diverse: seasoned, young, varied in ethnic and racial backgrounds, even a variety of languages. Some poems were in both French and English or Spanish and English. The readings and presentation of images spawned an extended and enthusiastic discussion about further collaboration of poets and photographers.
