EXPOSURE 2022 is the 26th annual PRC Members juried exhibition. Supporting member photographers since 1996, there have been more than 400 photographers have shown in EXPOSURE including an array of those established and emerging in the field. Each year a respected member of the photographic community—from curators to gallerists to publishers—is asked to select between 10 to 15 artists for exhibition. The juror then selects between 2 and 4 pieces per person, thus offering artists an opportunity to showcase their work at a deeper level than most juried shows, and making for a more enriching experience for audiences. Photographers working in a broad range of exhibition-ready bodies of work are encouraged to apply, including traditional and non-traditional approaches to photography.

    EXPOSURE 2022 juror: Catherine Edelman
In 1987, at the age of 25, Catherine Edelman opened her eponymous gallery a few months after graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with her MFA in Photography, debuting with the Ballad of Sexual Dependency by Nan Goldin. Since its founding, the gallery has established itself as one of the leading venues in the US devoted to the exhibition of prominent living photographers, alongside new & young talent. The gallery showcases a broad range of subject matter, attracting both the seasoned collector and first-time buyer. In April 2019, CEG left River North for West Town, joining numerous galleries who recently relocated to this new area. Catherine renovated a raw 4400 sq ft space into a bi-level gallery, creating three exhibition spaces, a large collector viewing room, and a dedicated video room. CEG also hosts monthly poetry readings that asks writers to respond to the exhibition presented in the gallery, as they seek to expand the vocabulary of photography within the arts. The gallery exhibits in major art fairs throughout the country and Catherine is widely respected as a leader, educator and expert in the field of photography.
