Announcing Reviewers for August Through October

    In the coming months, PRC members have wide-ranging opportunities to apply for a portfolio review by highly experienced and well respected experts. Coming up:

    A benefit of PRC membership, the PRC Portfolio Review Program brings a variety of experience, aesthetic sense, focus, and expertise. To get the most benefit from your portfolio review, check the particular reviewer’s background and request to meet with those who best fit the art and objectives of your work.     Paula Tognarelli

    Paula Tognarelli is the Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography. She is responsible for producing over 54 exhibitions a year at the Griffin and its satellite and online gallery spaces. She holds an M.S. in Arts Administration from Boston University, BA from Regis College, is a graduate of the New England School of Photography and is a candidate for her Masters in Education at Lesley University. Paula has juried and curated numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally.

    Arlette Kayafas opened Gallery Kayafas in 2002 in Boston’s historic South End. Her interest in art and artists has always been a focus of her curiosity and effort. She believes that as the owner of a gallery she has a responsibility to the artist, the client, the neighborhood, and her colleagues to exhibit only the best works. The gallery has a focus on the emerging artists and pairs such artists with established and well known photographers.

    Shana Dumont Garr

    Shana Dumont Garr is the Curator of Fruitlands Museum, one of The Trustees of Reservations most recently added properties. A curator and writer, she trained as an art historian, and focuses on visual art. Her previous roles include the Director of Kingston Gallery, Boston, MA, and Director of Programs and Exhibitions at Artspace in Raleigh, NC. Shana organizes exhibitions and programs that highlight process and that make concepts accessible and interesting to everyone from professionals to the as-of-yet uninitiated. She has a master’s degree in art history and more than a decade of experience in a range of fine arts administration.
