Now Hiring: Communications and Development Coordinator

    The Photographic Resource Center seeks a Communications and Development Coordinator who is responsible for marketing and communications, member relations, and management of day-to-day development activities. This position reports to Creative Director and Development Manager, and is part-time, averaging 15 hours per week. The schedule is flexible but it’s important to be available for occasional evening events.

    Responsibilities:

    Marketing and Communications:

    • Manage the PRC’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, using Later.com) – create posts, monitor and respond to feedback, track metrics
    • Manage bi-weekly eNews – create content, design, schedule and send eNews; manage mailing list
    • Maintain membership directory and call-for-entry web pages
    • List PRC events on online calendars and websites
    • Monitor and manage general email correspondence and voice mail messages

    Membership and Development:

    • Organize and execute annual appeals (2/year) and other mailings (2/year) to PRC members and supporters
    • Manage member and donor relations: maintain database, process and acknowledge memberships and donations, coordinate donor cultivation and stewardship activities
    • Work with Development Manager to create annual development plans
    • Collaborate on other development operations and initiatives, including donor events, grant writing, and social media campaigns

    Our office is located in Cambridge, MA; however we have been working mostly remotely since March 2020. We expect a mix of in-person and remote work in the future.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous non-profit organization experience
    • Minimum of 2 years experiencemanaging social media/eMarketing for an organization
    • Salesforce (preferred) or other CRM proficiency
    • Facility with WordPress, MailChimp (or similar), Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Comfortable interacting with members, donors and other constituents
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to create new systems and processes that increase efficiency
    • Ability to work independently
    • Education in arts administration a plus
