The Board of the Photographic Resource Center (PRC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine LeComte Lecce as our new Program Manager. Catherine is an accomplished curator and interdisciplinary artist who will bring experience, a fresh perspective, and enthusiasm to the PRC. “We are excited to have Catherine join the PRC as our new Program Manager. Catherine brings wonderful creative energy to the PRC, and the innovative and quality programming the PRC is known for will thrive under her leadership,” says John Bunzick, PRC Board President.
Catherine’s work explores themes of motherhood, identity, and feminist perspectives through photography and mixed media. She earned her BFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design and her MFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her recent curatorial projects, including Matrescence at MassArt x SoWa Gallery and TEND at Atlantic Wharf Gallery, reflect her commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices in contemporary art. Catherine has made it a point to include photographers in her curatorial projects, supporting the medium and championing its role in storytelling and creative exploration. As the founder of the Burlington Micro Gallery, she has demonstrated her passion for making art accessible through mobile exhibitions. She will bring her innovative approach to the PRC where she will work collaboratively with the Chair of Programs and with the Programming Committee to create exhibitions and programs that enhance the mission of the organization, and heighten the visibility of the PRC in the regional, national, and international art spheres.
Catherine notes, “I’m thrilled to join the PRC as Program Manager and to work with such a passionate community of photographers and art enthusiasts. Photography has been central to my life and career, and I’m excited to bring my experiences as an artist and curator to this role. I look forward to building programs and exhibitions that inspire, connect, and celebrate the incredible diversity of stories that photography can tell.”
