Sunday, October 6, 2-3:30pm
Join this renowned panel of artists and experts as they consider and debate issues surrounding vision, perception, photography and science. Has the history of photography influenced our reasoning? How do scientific ideas evolve? How do we represent ideas and the impact of science? How do we make sense of the world around us and in us? This discussion is convened in conjunction with the exhibition Order of Imagination: The Photographs of Olivia Parker on view at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem through November 11.
Panelists include Olivia Parker; photographer Rosamond Purcell; neuroscientist/artist Bevil Conway; and historian Sean O’Neil. Deborah Davidson, Director of Catalyst Conversations, moderates.
