The Photographic Resource Center is partnering with Behind VA Shadows, an artist-run initiative founded by ICA Boston museum workers, for a group exhibition exploring the theme of interiority. This call invites artists to consider how their work reflects private identity, intimacy, and individuality while also acknowledging the ways we move through public systems and social spaces.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly through figurative, architectural, abstract, or conceptual approaches. Submissions must include photography, lens-based media, or mixed media incorporating photography, with a limited number of video works accepted.
The call is open to all artists, with priority given to BIPOC artists and museum workers. The exhibition will be hosted at the Photographic Resource Center gallery, and submissions are free.
