The Photographic Resource Center’s Artists in Residence Program is an annual initiative that invites regional photographers and lens-based artists to transform the PRC gallery into a working studio and site of creative exchange. Over the course of four weeks, selected artists have the freedom to experiment, expand their practice, and engage directly with the PRC’s community through open studios, talks, and public events.

The residency supports artistic growth, exploration, and collaboration—fostering dialogue between artists, audiences, and the evolving field of photography—and culminates each year in a public exhibition showcasing work created during the program.

Applications Now Open for the 2026 Residency

Back for its second year, the Photographic Resource Center’s Artist-in-Residence Program provides two artists working in photography and lens-based media with four weeks of dedicated studio space inside the PRC gallery.

The residency is designed to support artistic growth, experimentation, and the development of new work. Artists are encouraged to use the time to explore new ideas, techniques, and directions in their practice while benefiting from focused studio time, access to resources, and mentorship from established professionals in the field.
