Artist Statement
I use the language of photography to understand and interpret the world, creating conversations about place, indirect interactions and everyday existence. I am interested in how we navigate the space we occupy and the natural world’s effect on society and culture. The photographs here are made to have a somewhat dreamlike quality, this gives the photographs a slight surreal feeling, living between the real world and somewhere else. This is important on how I want the work to be understood, not as a document but as a perception, belonging to everyone.
