EXPOSURE 2017: The 21st Annual PRC Juried Exhibition
April 28 - June 10, 2017
Opening May 4th
, Thursday, 5-8pm

JUROR: Sarah Kennel, The Bryne Family Curator of Photography at the Peabody Essex Museum

Each year, the Photographic Resource Center at Boston University hosts a highly-regarded juried exhibition of photography and related media.  The show is also a great chance to discover new talent and ideas in the photographic arts.  This year the PRC was honored to have as juror Sarah Kennel, The Bryne Family Curator of Photography at the Peabody Essex Museum.  We are pleased to announce the artists selected for its 21st annual juried show, the last in our current space.

The PRC shows several images from a submitted series, thus representing each artist’s series more fully than a single image and making for an enriching experience for audiences as well.  Over one thousand images were submitted in total; about 40 pieces will be on display, with 2 to 5 works per artist.  Themes and topics that emerged included text, memory, identity, travel, and more.

2017 Selected PhotographersHannah Bates (Dorchester, MA), Ashley Comer (Brooklyn, NY), James Cooper (Petaluma, CA), Heidi Fancher (Washington, DC), Tom Gearty (Cambridge, MA), Ellie Ivanova (Denton, TX), Gregory Jundanian (Dedham, MA), Priya Kambli (Kirksville, MO), Brian Kaplan (Brookline, MA), Molly Lamb (Quincy, MA), Kimberly Llerena (Washington, DC), Greer Muldowney (Somerville, MA),
