Massachusetts-native, Jill Waterman is a New York City-based photographer, editor, author, and educator.  A night photography specialist, her first book, Night and Low Light Photography, was published in 2008. Her widely exhibited photographic work, The New Year's Eve Project, has received notable press.  After successful adventures in the stock photo industry and in publishing as editor of the ASMP Bulletin, PDNedu, and other education and event projects for Photo District News, Waterman recently embarked on a new position as a Web Content Writer with B & H Photo, Video and Pro Audio.

This print is from Waterman's "Ghosts of Grand Central" series and instead of traveling to cities across the world for New Year's Eve, she focused on where the world converges in one place.  Utilizing longer exposures, this series celebrates the ephemeral quality of bodies in motion and the then recently renovated transportation hub.
