Based on the North Shore, Anne Rearick earned her MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She holds a Guggenheim fellowship as well as two New England Foundation for the Arts/ Massachusetts Cultural Council grants.
A monograph of her work, Anne Rearick's Eye, was published in France in 2004. Shown and collected regionally and nationally, she has recently completed another book entitled Township, Life after Apartheid, with a release date of fall 2016.
Rearick was featured in the PRC exhibition Eleven Artists in 1997. The origin of this enchanting and elusive pastoral image stems from a year Rearick spent in France after graduate school with the help of a Fulbright/Annette Kade fellowship. The Basque region reminded Rearick of her hometown of Boise, Idaho, which received many Basque immigrants. This beautiful rendered print exemplifies the discovery of the personal in another place.
