Salvador Lutteroth is a Mexican photographer, who after completing his degree in 1977, studied with John Sexton and Eliot Porter.  He has shown throughout Mexico, the US, and Europe and been included in many solo and group show.  After shifting from black-and-white documentary work, he turned to color arranged still-lifes that explored Mexican identity and folklore, ritual, and myth.

Lutteroth received a Leopold Godowsky, Jr. Color Photography Award in 1991 from the PRC and was showcased in an exhibition with the other award winners from Central and South America and the Caribbean Islands. This vibrant Cibachrome, whose title translates to "Chicken Legs," pairs harmonious natural and geometrical elements with an earthen palette.
