Kahn and Selesnick received their BFAs from Washington University in 1986. Since beginning their collaborative efforts, their work has been shown and collected in galleries and museums worldwide.  The duo has three Aperture monographs to date: Scotlandfuturebog (2002), City of Salt (2005), and The Apollo Prophecies (2006).

Kahn and Selesnick have extensive ties to MA, including several galleries, and much of their work is made on Cape Cod.  The duo have been Artists in Residence at The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and the Addison Gallery of American Art.  They were recipients of the PRC's Leopold Godowsky, Jr. Color Photography Awards in 2009 and showcased work from their series Eisbergfreistadt.  Kahn and Selesnick are known for creating fantastical worlds, replete with costumes and props, and utilizing panoramic formats and mixed media.  This image features a toad known for its hallucinogenic properties juxtaposed with a surreal Hawaiian landscape.
