Paul Wainwright photograph

Paul Wainwright built his first darkroom when he was 12, and for more than 4 decades photography was his expressive outlet. He was also fascinated by physics, and has a PhD from Yale. A lengthy high-tech career at Bell Laboratories only strengthened his love for of traditional photography, and since 2001 he has made it his full-time occupation. His work evokes a sense of timelessness and tranquility, and has been described as reminiscent of some of the great masters of the 20th century.
