The PRC Portfolios: Then and Now
September 4 – 14, 2008
This unique exhibition united two PRC Portfolios in a display of 26 prints. The original PRC Portfolio was produced in 1982 and titled "New Works." Earlier this year, a PRC Portfolio Committee assembled a new PRC Portfolio—the first in what we hope to be an ongoing series. The photographers in "New Works" include Roswell Angier, Karl Baden, William Burke, Steven Halpern, Christopher James, Olivia Parker, Daniel Ranalli, Eugene Richards, Sage Sohier, and Jane Tuckerman. The photographers in the 2008 PRC Portfolio include Barbara Bosworth, Jim Dow, Lalla Essaydi, Ralph Gibson, Frank Gohlke, Emmet Gowin, David Hilliard, Henry Horenstein, Jocelyn Lee, Laura McPhee, Susan Meiselas, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Abelardo Morell, Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison, Patti Smith, and Sage Sohier.

2008 PRC Benefit Auction
September 19 – October 19, 2008; Live Auction, October 25

PRC's New England Survey landscape exhibition traveled to
Fruitlands Museum
August 23 – December 21, 2008
The PRC was asked by the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA, to show a version of our landscape exhibition curated by PRC Curator Leslie K. Brown. New England Survey was a perfect fit for this former Transcendentalist center and joined a special exhibition of Joe Wheelwright's trees sculptures on their grounds. Keeping Time:
Cycle and Duration in Contemporary Photography
November 7, 2008 – January 25, 2009
This group exhibition brought together photographers who deal with concepts of time, duration, and cycles—both human and celestial. In creating their work, each artist used a different idea or aesthetic means to capture, pause, and contemplate time. Curated by PRC Curator, Leslie K. Brown, artists included Stuart Allen, Erika Blumenfeld, Rebecca Cummins, Sharon Harper, Chris McCaw, Matthew Pillsbury, Byron Wolfe. 2009 PRC Student Exhibition
February 6 – March 15, 2009
The 7th annual student exhibition featured over 100 photographs by students from 19 New England universities and colleges that were current Institutional Plus Members of the PRC. Syntax
March 27 – May 10, 2009
Part of the Boston Cyberarts Festival
This group exhibition brought together work that addressed the concept of digital information and systems—their meaning and aesthetics. Curated by PRC Curator Leslie K. Brown, Syntax considered artists who address or create new forms of digital syntax via computer programs or via some sort of digital processing or selection. The PRC participated in the very first Cyberarts Festival in 1999 by hosting a digitally-themed version of our annual juried exhibition; this year, the PRC paid homage to these beginnings by mediating on digital language itself. Artists included Patricia Ambrogi, Leigh Brodie, Benno Friedman, Meggan Gould, Brian Piana, Mark J. Stock, Luke Strosnider, and Matthew Swarts. EXPOSURE: The 14th Annual PRC Juried Exhibition
May 22 – June 28, 2009
Each year, the PRC hosts a juried exhibition with a nationally-renowned juror. Guest juror A merican Photo Editor Russell Hart selected 14 photographers out of 220 entries for exhibition. Featured photographers included Rick Ashley, Allen Bryan, Anastasia Cazabon, Elizabeth Fleming, Joseph O. Holmes,
Phil Jung, Beth Lilly, Carolyn V. Marsden, Sarah A. Martin, Brad Moore, Lydia Panas, Betsy Schneider,
