SUMMARY:16th Annual Self-Published Photobook Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss the amazing photobooks now at the 16th Annual Self-Published Photobook Exhibition at the Griffin Museum\, open through Labor Day week-end. The show was juried by Karen Davis and Crista Dix (the Griffin Museum’s director). I’m honored that my photobook\, E PLURIBUS UNUM (OUT OF MANY\, ONE) was included in the show. The book highlights the contribution of immigrant stoneworkers during the renovation of a historic church building in Boston. Distinct from the gallery aesthetic\, photobooks offer their own visual language\, often conducive to more narrative qualities and seriality than the standard on-the-wall format. A parallel exhibition of hand-made photobooks is also on view.

In this hands-on workshop\, you’ll shoot\, develop\, and scan your own film while learning sustainable darkroom techniques that reduce chemical and water use. \n\n\n\nNo previous darkroom experience is necessary.
